The sea at the Nation, night and day.
Fresh seafood from Saint-Malo, house choucroute, espresso at the counter. From early morning into the heart of the night.

Since la Nation
A brasserie that watches until the small hours.
Le Dalou takes its name from Aimé Jules Dalou, the sculptor who cast "Le Triomphe de la République". The monumental bronze watches over Place de la Nation, a few steps from our tables. This brasserie has faced it for decades, open at all hours, in all weather.
Our seafood platters arrive daily from Saint-Malo: Gillardeau oysters, lobster, brown crab, Channel mussels. The sea comes to la Nation, fresh each morning. Alongside the platters, the menu runs through the classics of a grand Parisian brasserie: Choucroute Royale Dalou, Burgundy snails, gratinéed onion soup.
At five in the morning or well past midnight, Le Dalou is here. Espresso at the counter, candlelit dinners, a warm soup in the heart of the night. This brasserie belongs to the neighbourhood, not to tourism.
